The Device Families Command Specification provides a structure that allows common commands for the configuration and support of HART field devices. Families are based upon the type of Device Variables used, the following families have been released:

  • Temperature Device Family Specification (SPEC-160.4)
  • PID Control Device Family Specification (SPEC-160.7)
  • Level Device Family Specification (SPEC-160.11)
