Device Integration - Writing EDD and FDI Package Online Workshop 

 

This advanced course will provide live instruction where developers learn the step-by-step process for building a Device Description and FDI Device Package that can be used across all EDD or FDI enabled host platforms. 

The workshop includes lectures and demonstrations to provide students a thorough understanding of the EDD and FDI Device Package using the FDI Package Integrated Development Environment (FDI-IDE).  Demonstrations will illustrate the process of constructing an EDD and an FDI Device Package.

Device Integration Workshop + Consultation Services 

Students can choose to add Consultation Services to extend the training workshop with one additional private session (4 hours) with the course instructor.  There are a limited number of seats available which include Consultation Services, so register now to take advantage of this benefit. The consultation sessions will be arranged after the workshop has concluded.  

Workshop Pre-Requisites  

Students looking to enroll in the Device Integration Workshop should have a strong understanding of their device's communication protocol (FOUNDATION Fieldbus or HART) before attending this course.  

Enrollment in this course will include demo licenses to the FDI-IDE software. Those who want to purchase their own license can do so at our online store. To learn more about the tool transition to FDI please click here. 

What is included? 

The students enrolled in this workshop will receive: 

  • Three days of live instruction and demonstrations (5 hours each day) 
  • Example project files and a 30-day Student FDI-IDE license
  • Certificate of Attendance 
  • 12 Professional Development Hours (PDH) 

 

Workshop Date: February 9, 2021 through February 11, 2021. Sessions begin at 06:00AM CST and conclude at 11:00AM CST each day (see the times in your time zone).
