Some host system manufacturers make available software tools to test Device Description files on their platforms. A final EDD being prepared for Registration with FieldComm Group should be tested on the platforms your end users may be using with your device. This ensures the Device Description drivers operate as expected when deployed on an end user's system.
These tests are optional, however highly recommended.
