The FDI Package IDE includes a Reference Run-Time Engine (RRTE) which is an “FDI host” application for testing the operation of FDI Packages with field devices. The RRTE relies upon several configuration files to determine default settings at run-time.

Two keys in the FDI.ReferenceHost.Config  are "Specialist" and "EnableDeveloperInfo”.

"Specialist" is used to enable UIEngine behavior to test EDD CLASS SPECIALIST.  By default, this feature is disabled with "value=false".

"EnableDeveloperInfo" is used to extend DD labels with "ItemID" information of EDD constructs. This is useful to understand which EDD construct is shown and can be used to understand dependency issues or labeling problems.  By default, this feature is disabled with "value=false".
