Our thoughts go out to all of those who have been impacted by COVID-19 as well as those helping to safeguard our communities and assist in the recovery.


FieldComm Group continues to monitor the COVID-19 situation and have put in place measures to protect all stake holders.  The management team continuously monitors the evolving situation and has established business continuity programs that align with federal and local health agencies.


FieldComm Group has already taken several steps to protect staff.

  • Eliminated employee travel, both international and domestic, and will conduct internal and external meetings virtually.
  • Mandated small group interactions must maintain social distancing in all interactions.
  • Established hand sanitizing and washing stations.
  • Require employees that exhibit any symptoms to stay home and seek appropriate medical attention and/or COVID-19 testing.

 

Effective 24 March 2020, the corporate offices are now closed subject to the City of Austin’s Stay Home – Work Safe directive and Texas's essential services directive.    All employees are currently working from home while maintaining ongoing projects. 


In this evolving environment, these policies may change, and FieldComm Group continues to monitor all government directives.  


Membership Support

Members can still contact FieldComm Group on our primary number, +1 512 792-2300.  Transferring calls and direct dial numbers for staff are not currently available.  Email is the best approach for contacting individual staff members.


Technical Support

The preferred method of contacting FieldComm Group is through our managed support system.  The support site  https://support.fieldcommgroup.org is active 24/7, with both self-help and personalized support.  Staff continue to monitor and respond to all support questions.


Testing Services

Testing services for the Austin lab are operating at normal throughput.  Due to limited receiving, please do not ship new products until directed by the test administrator. To assure delivery, FieldComm Group may provide an alternate address to ship products for testing.

For those applying for HART testing, while v3.6 is the released version, we are extending the window to continue to test with v3.5 through July 2020 to address shipping complexities.  Please indicate your preference when apply for product registration.


Working Groups

Working Group activity supported on FieldComm Workspace https://workspace.fieldcommgroup.org continues mostly unaffected.  Many teams already work using web conferencing tools.

Order Processing

All orders are being fulfilled.  Orders for software-only products (e.g. FDI Package IDE) are not affected.    Orders requiring physical hardware are being processed with longer than normal delivery times. 


RMA Handling

RMA processing is handled through our support portal https://support.fieldcommgroup.org.  To ensure proper processing, only send RMA products when explicitly instructed through the RMA portal.  To assure delivery, FieldComm Group may provide an alternate address to ship RMA products.


Website, Registry, Online Fulfillment Services

These services are not expected to be impacted.


Training Courses

Any changes to the training course schedule will be posted on our website at https://fieldcommgroup.org/education/product-developer-training/training-schedule  

Students will be notified in advance of any changes.
